About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Associate responsible for tracking and booking all expenses at Amant. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in a similar role within an entity which has similar complexity of accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book and track all expenses, ensuring accurate financial records
  • Process and run payroll twice monthly
  • Book all bank and credit card transactions to the correct chart of accounts weekly, including attaching necessary documentation
  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements monthly
  • Set up new vendors and maintain proper documentation (including W9 forms)
  • Assist with end-of-year financial processes
  • Support other finance-related tasks as needed

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies
  • Responsible for on-time submission of monthly closings
  • Prepare and monitor budgets
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end financial statements for executive review
  • Organize thorough financial records, including invoices, and tax documents
  • Work closely with non-financial departments to enhance financial accountability and ensure budget adherence
  • Support the Executive Director in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the organization

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a finance role
  • Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, Bill.com and simple financial statements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience with financial reporting software
  • Knowledge of payroll processing systems

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Due to the nature of this role, it has been designed with a hybrid work model in mind. The role requires some days in the office weekly for critical face-to-face collaboration, team meetings, balanced with remote work days for focused individual tasks.

  • In-office days will be determined based on business priorities, project needs, and team coordination
  • Remote work will be supported with necessary technology and communication tools
  • Weekly schedules will typically be communicated in advance to ensure alignment with team requirements
  • Candidates should be comfortable adapting their work location as business demands evolve
  • Strong communication skills are essential to maintain productivity across both work environments

We value both the collaborative energy of our office environment, and this role may be asked to work full time in the office at some point in the future.
