This temporary technician position involves assisting with forest soil and plant data collection in South and Central Georgia.
Duties include 95% fieldwork, such as sampling in forest environments, and 5% lab organization of samples upon return.
The role requires working outdoors in varying weather, traveling overnight for up to four days, and performing moderate physical labor, including carrying 30lbs over uneven terrain.
Ideal candidates are undergraduate students with coursework in forestry, soil science, ecology, or related fields, and some experience in field data collection.
The position is non-exempt, full-time, and starts around December 15, 2025.
