This role involves processing packages under the supervision of the Distribution Shipping Lead, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory aligned with work orders and schedules.
- Preparing packages for shipment by cleaning, securing, packing, labeling, and ensuring compliance with order and customer requirements.
- Understanding hazmat regulations, labeling, and placarding requirements.
- Safely operating tools and equipment such as crimping tools, stretch wrap machines, pneumatic and hand tools, and drum pickers.
- Using RF scanners to select, pick, and record inventory movements accurately in the ERP system.
- Ensuring proper carrier pick-up and reporting defective materials.
- Conducting daily inventory checks, maintaining safety procedures, and operating powered industrial trucks for transportation and loading.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and performing related duties as required.
Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, effective communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and hazmat knowledge.
