The essential functions include:

  • Responsible for overseeing  and expanding the Intensive Foster Care Program
  • Oversees and provides clinical supervision to one or more individuals within the program to ensure standards are met with the BBS in accordance with registered interns and associate clinical social workers
  • Supervise FCSW’s and  manage contract workers as needed to meet program demands
  • In collaboration with FFA Trainer will be responsible for providing support and training to ISFC staff and ISFC resource families
  • Provide coordination of clinical & community service delivery activities for ISFC clients, including the facilitation of Child and Family Team meetings
  • Review and approve all documentation including notes, SIR’s and treatment plans to ensure goals of permanency are being met
  • Interact with the community at large and with specific allied agencies, other programs, and funding sources that facilitates and enhances the operation of the program
  • Responsible for implementing and managing agency adoptions program including completing home studies, written reports and adoption documentation
  • Knowledgeable of the acts in accordance with all prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse/neglect, law and ethics
  • Participates as required in parent certification, recertification and decertification
  • On call 24/7 to provide clinical support to staff, children and families
  • Provides Crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintains a reduced caseload
  • Other duties as required


  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens


  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (licensed post 2 years)
  • Licensed for 2 years  (if licensed in another state, must meet the prevailing requirements for licensure in California)
  • Bilingual Spanish Required
  • Strong knowledge and experience in adoption and child welfare systems
  • Valid California driver’s license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides’ insurance carrier


This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.  All Hillsides employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
