Founding Software Engineer

A small, early-stage healthcare AI company in San Francisco is hiring one of its first dedicated engineers. The team is building an AI-native platform that helps pediatric therapists run their own practices - automating insurance credentialing, billing, and clinical documentation, and using agents to handle scheduling and patient-provider coordination. There are already 80+ therapists actively using the product.

This is a true founding-engineer seat. You'll ship every day, talk directly to therapists, and own problems end-to-end. You'll help shape the stack, the product, and the engineering culture.

We're looking for:

• Engineers who have built real products end-to-end - not just contributed to a slice.
• Hands-on AI-agent experience (production or substantive side projects). Coding assistants alone are not enough.
• Strong CS fundamentals (DS&A, system design, live coding) and high ownership.
• Willingness to work on-site five days a week in San Francisco's Mission district.
• The current stack is TypeScript + React + LangChain, but the founding engineer will help decide where it evolves. JavaScript fluency is not required if you're strong elsewhere.

Open to both experienced founding-engineer candidates (3-8 years) and exceptional recent grads from strong CS programs with visible agent side projects.

Compensation: $160,000 - $210,000 base + 1.5% - 2% equity. Health, dental, vision, 401k, lunch, gym, relocation.
