Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC, the deactivation and remediation contractor at the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Paducah, Kentucky, is tentatively planning paid summer internships beginning Monday, May 18, 2026, through July 23, 2026, for students who meet the eligibility criteria and are interested.
Possible internships include:
- Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental, Structural, Civil)
- Environmental Science & Environmental Compliance
- Information Technology
- Occupational Safety and Health and Industrial Safety
- Regulatory Decision Integration
- Regulatory Affairs
- Waste Management
- GIS
Eligibility Requirements
- At least 18 years old by May 18, 2026
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in pursuit of an Associates, Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be at least a sophomore or higher
- Successfully pass drug screen and background check
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Program Description & Application Process
The internship provides students with an opportunity to apply the classroom learning to practical tasks and project activities. Internship programs at Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership will provide an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals dedicated to the safe environmental remediation of the U.S. Department of Energy Paducah Site.
