Position Title: General Technician 1

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a General Technician 1 with our client in Everett, Washington.

Job Responsibilities:

Uses metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards
May be assigned to any one of the major areas, including but not limited to:
- Solution clean
- Polish
- Deburr
- Straightening
- Saw
- Vibratory
Sample functions in these areas include but are not limited to:
- Perform deburring according to established standards
- Scrape or rub parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloths
- Hold part against buffing or grinding wheel
- Mount part on revolving spindle or chuck and hold or move tools (file, abrasive stone, or cloth) against workpiece to file, grind, polish, or buff surfaces
- Clean interior surfaces of holes
- Change tools on powered equipment
- Apply abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operations
- Operate a saw or other powered cutting tool
- Select type of finish per work instructions to determine amount of metal to be removed
- Perform general finishing processes, including solution clean
- Clean up parts, machines, and work areas
- Perform detailed periodic machine maintenance
- Examine parts for acceptability of finish
- Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
- Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures; model safe work practices
- Contribute to and support a positive and respectful workplace environment
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
No experience necessary
Experience using hand tools and a tape measure required
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong focus on customer service
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract to hire
Location: Everett, Washington (Osnite)
Pay Rate Range: $21-$26/hr.
ITAR obligations are associated with this role; U.S. Citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
