One of the ways we make homeownership easy is providing homebuyers with a personal Home Assistant, a trusted partner they can turn to for help with their move. Our primary strategy to reach homebuyers is to partner with businesses in the real estate vertical that are embedded in the homebuying process, such as inspection companies, real estate brokerages and title companies. By offering tools and services that help these businesses succeed we earn the trust required to serve their customers together.

As our Head of Business Development, Real Estate, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and negotiating potential partnerships with businesses, associations and technology providers in the residential real estate vertical. You will negotiate financial and technical deal terms and work closely with our product team to develop our partnership strategy. You will also ensure go-to-market (GTM) success by project managing implementations and monitoring partnership performance against target KPIs and P&L. Your efforts will help the business secure new competitive advantage, expand the use of our products and deliver accelerated growth.  

What You Will Do

  • Manage the strategy, execution, and integration of new strategic partnerships
  • Drive adoption of Porch inspection and real estate products among companies offering software products and services to home inspectors and real estate agents 
  • Pitch, onboard and scale new partners in the residential home inspection and real estate industry
  • Own KPIs, OKRs, Business Reviews, and P&L management
  • Provide thought leadership, and educate various internal stakeholders with customer and industry trends and identify investment opportunities for growth
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams internally (e.g. Sales, Product, Engineering, Analytics) to spearhead partnership integration and management

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • 5+ years of Business Development experience, preferably in real estate
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
  • Passion to learn
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
