Perform HR job functions in the Human Resources Department of the US Pipe - Union City Pipe Plant and other locations as assigned.
- Prepares, maintains, files, and distributes personal records and reports including confidential salary materials.
- Coordinates the UltiPro HRIS for all personnel actions such as but not limited to, employees biographical information, salary, leave of absence, terminations, benefits, etc.
- Administers the hourly & salary attendance and vacation records.
- Prepares, maintains, and distributes forms and records pertaining to the employee's group benefits insurance and answers routine questions.
- Assists in the screening of applicants and the on-boarding of new employees to company rules, policies, procedures and benefits.
- Assists supervisors in assuring company compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, answers routine questions involving company programs, procedures and benefits.
- Maintains Human Resources files, employees personnel records and reference materials.
- Posts all job bid vacancies according to the collective bargaining agreement and General Office procedures.
- Assists the Human Resources Managers in complying any necessary statistical data and run employee reports in Ultipro as needed.
- Perform a variety of administrative functions in the Human Resources department.
- Maintains employees I-9 files and verifies employees under E-Verify.
- Complies with all Plant Safety Rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Managers.
Associates Degree in HR, Business, and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent is preferred. PHR certification is a plus. Also requires a minimum of 2 - 5 years of solid HR experience in a fast paced union manufacturing environment is required.

• Foundational knowledge on HR subjects such as benefits, compensation, performance management, employment compliance knowledge, succession planning, employee retention, recruiting, team building, and employee relations is desired.

• Prefer bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Working knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, EEOC, ADA, AAP, and other related federal, state, and local labor laws is required.
• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.
