HR Internship – Nonprofit Organization


Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources while making a difference in the community? A well-respected nonprofit organization in White Plains, NY, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Intern to support our HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including screening resumes and scheduling interviews

  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires

  • Maintain and organize employee records and HR files

  • Assist in benefits administration and employee engagement initiatives

  • Help coordinate training sessions and HR events

  • Perform administrative tasks related to HR compliance and policies

  • Participate in special HR projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Prior internship or administrative experience is a plus but not required

Internship Details:

  • Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid or On-Site)

  • Hours: Flexible; ideally 15-20 hours per week

  • Compensation: Unpaid or stipend-based (depending on program structure)
