This position provides advanced psychiatric/mental health medical services in various settings for an adult population and collaborates with other health care professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function performed at the job level.

  • Perform admission to psychiatric and mental status evaluations. 
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric assessments and treatment to patients.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for the care of a designated number of patients.
  • Perform on-call clinical coverage as needed and directed by the hospital medical director.
  • Maintain all appropriate paperwork required for patient care in a timely manner.
  • Assist in follow-up planning for the discharge of patients.
  • Maintain an active role in updating treatment plans.
  • Participate in committees and perform administrative duties as directed by the medical director.
