Human Resources Business Partner
Position Type: Temporary
Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Assignment Length: Approximately 3-Months, possibly longer.
DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to hospital leadership and management staff, supporting organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and workforce initiatives that align with the hospital's mission, vision, strategic plan, and operational goals. This role delivers comprehensive HR support across multiple functional areas, including employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, employee engagement, training, and project management.
The HR Business Partner collaborates closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of HR programs and services that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, including interpretation and application of company policies, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements
Resolve employee relations issues, escalating complex or high-risk concerns appropriately
Monitor workforce trends and identify root-cause issues; partner with senior leaders to proactively address concerns
Recommend and implement new approaches, programs, and procedures to drive continuous organizational improvement
Facilitate organizational development initiatives for leaders, teams, and work groups
Mentor and coach leaders on employee engagement, retention strategies, and performance management
Identify training and development needs and support the evaluation, monitoring, and effectiveness of training programs
Partner with leaders to improve employee morale, productivity, engagement, and retention
Lead and manage HR-related projects from initiation through completion; may serve as project lead
Support talent reviews, performance management processes, and other strategic initiatives as directed by HR senior leadership
Develop and recommend action plans to address workforce challenges and organizational needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including:
Employee relations
Talent acquisition
Training and learning & development
HR communication
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and employee relations principles
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with leaders at multiple levels of the organization
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent HR experience
Experience in an acute care or healthcare setting preferred
PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
