At Leo A Daly, the role of  Senior  Interior  Designer will lead  and support  the  interior  design on a wide variety of projects in a collaborative team environment.    We are looking for design leadership to continue advancing our commitment to design excellence;  design is at the heart of Leo A Daly and the firm is committed to elevating design across all projects.  At the Atlanta Studio, we are excited about the diverse portfolio in the areas of Higher Education, Healthcare, Aviation, Science and Government. The ability to work across multiple market sectors and learn from these diverse experiences provides our  Interior  Designers with opportunities to inform and enhance their projects our clients’ futures.    


  • Programming, space planning, design of spaces and finishes, FF&E selection, documentation, editing specifications, producing deliverable drawing sets for finish plans, interior elevations, room finish schedules, furniture plans, and interior details  
  • Perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates  
  • Prepare narratives, design presentations, boards, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, working within project schedule and budget constraints  
  • Performs construction administration  
  • Assisting with marketing/business development activities  
  • Occasional travel for project related activities relative to existing building assessments/investigations, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations may be required  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a 4 year accredited program in Interior Design or Architecture.  
  • 8+ years of experience after obtaining Bachelor’s or Master’s degree  
  • NCIDQ certification required  
  • Proficiency with computer software including Revit  and AutoCAD conversion, Sketch-Up  and Adobe Creative Suite  
  • Ability to  communicate ideas persuasively and visually.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with project personnel.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.  
  • Excellent planning, time management and organization skills.  
  • Excellent client/customer service orientation and presentation skills.  
  • A condition of employment for this position is complying with the company vaccination requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, higher education and or commercial work
  • Multi-disciplinary skills in both architecture and interiors
  • Degree from an accredited architecture program
  • Excellent planning, time management and organization skills.
