/PROJECT:The selected candidate will join the Drug Product and Devices Technologies group, focusing primarily on non-aqueous based liquid formulation development for peptide molecules or similar compounds. The candidate will work on the following key activities with guidance from their manager:
  • Develop various formulations for peptide molecules
  • Initiate and monitor stability studies in accordance with ICH guidelines
  • Analyze stability samples using various analytical techniques including chromatographic (reverse phase, size exclusion, and ion exchange HPLC), spectrophotometric (UV-VIS), and standard wet chemistry techniques
  • Follow written protocols and assist in revision of working procedures
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of experimental protocols and finding
  • Present findings at internal group meetings
Required Skills:
  • Basic lab skills including pipetting, using weighing balance
  • Basic understanding of the liquid formulation development
  • Good documentation and communication skills
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with spectrophotometric, chromatographic, light scattering preferred
  • Experience in liquid formulation development
  • Familiarity with formulation excipients
  • Ability to help with experimental design and analyze experimental datase
Qualifications/Eligibility:
  • Pursuing M.S. or PhD in: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles
