Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day. As a leading water technology company with 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries, Xylem is at the forefront of addressing the world's most critical water challenges. We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a traditional inventory role. You'll serve as the central coordination point for inventory accuracy across both a Distribution Center and an adjacent production facility, directly influencing operational readiness and supporting a critical S/4HANA transformation (S4).

You'll work cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Materials, and Finance to drive process discipline, enhance SAP integrity, and resolve root-cause inventory issues-without direct reports, but with broad organizational impact.

What You'll Own

  • Lead the cycle count program across DC and production, including scheduling, reconciliation, and variance resolution

  • Investigate discrepancies, drive root cause analysis, and ensure accurate SAP adjustments

  • Monitor SAP inventory transactions (e.g., 261/262/311) to maintain system integrity

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate material movements, WIP tracking, and inventory records

  • Deliver key inventory metrics (accuracy, variances, aging) and identify improvement opportunities

  • Support audits, year-end inventory, and ensure compliance with SOX and corporate standards

  • Serve as the site resource for inventory processes, material flow, and system questions

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support S4 readiness efforts

  • Maintain SOPs and help uphold physical inventory control standards (storage, labeling, organization)

What Makes You a Strong Fit

Experience

  • 2+ years in inventory, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations

  • Hands-on experience with cycle counting and inventory control processes preferred

  • ERP system experience (SAP strongly preferred)

  • Exposure to 3PL or freight systems (e.g., DHL) is a plus

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration

  • Comfortable working in both operational and system-driven environments

Certifications

  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) required

What You'll Gain

Our Total Rewards program is designed to support your career and well-being:

  • Competitive hourly pay: $20.00 - $23.00 (based on experience and location)

  • Generous PTO and paid holidays

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (effective Day 1)

  • 401(k) with company contribution

  • Paid parental leave

  • Tuition reimbursement and career development programs
