IT Associate - TEMPORARY

Homer Electric Association (HEA) is a member-owned electric utility serving the central and southern areas of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. We are excited to be seeking a TEMPORARY IT Associate to join our IT team. This is a temporary position that will be primarily located at our Nikiski plant. This will be an hourly (non-exempt) position with typical work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will have an opportunity to work with our highly qualified and busy IT team on the following:

• Routine IT functions.
• CDW project implementation
• Inventory and equipment verification.
• Software upgrades.
• Assistance with user and system troubleshooting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSE & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in office administration, computer-related or systems use.
• Must submit a valid Alaska Driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate computer keyboard, smart phone and/or iPad with proficiency.
• Ability to receive guidance and supervision, follow work rules, safety practices, work procedures, and meet punctuality and attendance standards.
• Developing ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
• Developing ability to read and comprehend relevant instruction manuals and diagrams.
