IDR is seeking a IT Support Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves providing critical onsite end-user support during a busy period supporting international events. The company operates within the public sector, focusing on emergency management and public safety services, ensuring seamless internal IT operations.

This is a short-term contract opportunity running from June 1 through July 20. While temporary in duration, the position offers consistent full-time hours and requires onsite availability Monday through Thursday throughout the engagement.

Position Overview for the IT Support Technician:

  • Provide Level 1/Level 2 end-user IT support onsite from Monday through Thursday, with remote support on Fridays.
  • Act as the primary onsite point of contact for resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff.
  • Support Microsoft environment including SharePoint, Exchange, and Active Directory/domain administration tasks.
  • Assist with VPN setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for remote access needs.
  • Coordinate closely with remote senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Requirements for the IT Support Technician:

  • 13+ years of IT support experience in a desktop/end-user support capacity (Level 1 or Level 2).
  • Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft environments: Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint.
  • Experience with Dell laptops and Windows OS troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and remote access support.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills ability to engage professionally with non-technical end users.
