Position Overview

Join us in working toward excellent health! The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 residents across rural southwest Alaska, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) in Bethel.

About the Region

Bethel, the regional hub with a population of nearly 7,000, hosts the only hospital in the region. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta features thousands of lakes and the primary rivers, Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Role Summary

The Itinerant PA/NP will provide primary, acute, chronic, preventive, and emergency health care at assigned village clinics, contributing to the mission of YKHC to "Work Together to Achieve Excellent Health." This position involves regular "float" coverage across various clinics.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Training Program, with current certification and licensure.
  • Ability to obtain Alaska License and DEA license, along with National Certification.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Competence to practice medicine within their specialty area.
