JLTV A2 Test Site Engineer (Travel Position)

Job Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring a JLTV A2 Test Site Engineer to provide onsite technical support for vehicle testing on the JLTV Family of Vehicles (FoV). As a Test Engineer, you will co-lead Field Service Representatives (FSRs) in supporting various units through training, diagnostics, and maintenance, ensuring the vehicles are fully mission-capable at each test site. This is a dynamic role that requires extensive travel to various test sites based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to FSRs and co-lead efforts to support units with training, diagnostics, and maintenance.
• Conduct technical inspections, PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services), and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on the JLTV Family of Vehicles.
• Perform repairs to worn or damaged components, including the implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
• Ensure that vehicles meet 10/20 standards through corrective action maintenance.
• Participate in Performance Testing and Reliability Qualification Testing as part of JLTV contract requirements.
• Collaborate with various teams and support units in improving vehicle readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle testing, specifically with the JLTV Family of Vehicles.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and performing necessary repairs.
• Strong knowledge of PMCS and technical manual instructions.
• Ability to co-lead and provide guidance to FSRs in a variety of testing environments.
• Familiarity with implementing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and ensuring compliance with testing standards.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with first article requirements and performance testing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in varied test site environments and perform physical tasks as required, including lifting and maneuvering equipment and tools.
