Junior Financial Analyst

What is expected of you?

As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will help in exploring and examining data from disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and insights that can address business problems and financial risk. You will assist with analyzing economic and business level data to produce insights utilizing analytics tools and programming languages. These insights will help the buy-side analytics team to price assets appropriately and help produce the best execution on trades. You will communicate with management, internal business units as well as investors by providing insightful reports and meaningful analyses and have the ability to explain the reports to said stakeholders.

What will you do?

Utilize internal tools to standardize bid tape data and efficiently convert into use in proprietary models.

Track bids and trades over time and provide reporting to management on bid volumes and progress.

Create bid reports and outputs related to modeling and bid data to assist in pricing deals.

Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to build complex customized data solutions.

Build and maintain reports with extensive use of SQL programming (Python is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.

Translate data into meaningful reporting through visualization tools such as Power BI.

Verify all data, reports, for accuracy and completeness prior to providing them to the end user.

What must you have?

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics, Management Information Systems, Data and Analytics, or equivalent work experience – 2+ Years (Mortgage and/or Real-Estate is highly desired)

Working knowledge of databases, structured and unstructured data.

SQL Programming skills are required, and familiarity Python is highly preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including its full array of formulas, pivot tables, graphs, etc. (VBA knowledge is a plus).

Quantitative skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to learn and comprehend the mortgage acquisition process, mortgage servicing and secondary markets through on-the-job training.

Do you possess these additional attributes and skills?

Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
