Job Details
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team in Irvine. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional who is analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to build a long-term career in estimating.
You will gain hands-on experience in takeoffs, bid leveling, subcontractor coordination, and proposal development while working closely with senior leadership.
What You’ll Do:
• Assist with detailed quantity takeoffs across multiple trades
• Solicit, organize, and review subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Maintain and manage bid documents, drawings, and specifications
• Support preparation of budgets, proposals, and bid packages
• Analyze scopes of work to identify gaps and overlaps
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks with senior estimators
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
• Partner with project management and operations teams for smooth post-award handoff
What You’ll Bring:
• 1+ year of construction experience preferred (internship/co-op acceptable)
• Working knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (takeoff software a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
