Job Description
We are hiring Laboratory Assistants I. Our LAs are responsible for entering patient and specimen information into computer system and will prepare laboratory specimens for designated locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing.
Schedule: Flexibility with schedule, a must due to operational & training needs
Monday - Friday: 4:00 pm - 12:30 pm
You Will:
* Ability to perform support functions in the laboratory
* Assess and accession laboratory specimens
* Data entry and scan requisition images
* Assist / Perform send-outs
* Provide support services for other departments, clients, and pathologists
* Quality control data entry
* Perform other related duties as assigned, including cross training in other shifts or department
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Competency with computers and MS Office programs
* Laboratory experience/accessioning along with medical terminology knowledge preferred
* Ability to maintain accuracy, especially with numeric sequencing
* Excellent organizational skills & attention to details
* Adhere to HIPAA patient confidentiality standards
* Willingness to be cross trained in other departments, as a Lab. Asst.
Pay Range: $16.69 - $23.36 USD Hourly
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Generally, new hire offers will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range, depending on experience, with the ability to grow within the range over time.
