Pay Rate: $22.00-$40.99/Hour
The CNC Laser Operator candidate will be responsible for reviewing production requirements and plan production that promotes efficient use of machine. Responsible for reviewing cutting program and selecting correct raw material as needed.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Load correct raw material using overhead crane and/or forklift
- Load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the machine
- Monitor cutting performance and make appropriate operator level adjustments as required
- Perform operator level maintenance as needed, daily as scheduled
- Maintain proper documentation required for production and maintenance
- Remove parts and skeleton from laser table after cutting is complete
- Inspect and perform final cleanup of parts as needed
- Continuously maintain exceptionally clean/organized work area
- Assist with unloading raw material deliveries as needed
- Assist in other areas of metal prep department as needed
- Assist maintenance department with scheduled maintenance/repairs as needed
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate overhead crane and forklifts
- Ability to use general measurement devices, tape measure, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Ability to follow safety, operation and maintenance procedures precisely
- Ability to show great attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively
Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years plus of experience with laser cutting machines or similar CNC machinery
Must pass Drug and Background Screening
Must have Steel Toe Boots
Immediate Start
Hours 3:30 pm - 1:00 am - Monday - Friday plus Overtime
