Fleet Landing currently has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care. Our latest expansion, Beacon Pointe at Fleet Landing, will bring 128 new Independent Living Residences including 30 new skilled nursing beds, and 38 new assisted living to our thriving community!
Fleet Landing is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian who is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical nutritional services care to Residents within the continuing care community.  The RD will hire, train and lead a team of qualified, high performing individuals to deliver a Well Inspired approach and resident focused nutritional services program.  Collaborate with culinary & dining departments to ensure nutritionally balanced, professionally prepared and properly served meals are consistently delivered in a dignified and gracious manner.  The RD will ensure that Fleet Landing maintains the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation and infection control as set forth by AHCA and CDC guidelines by conducting routine audits of our culinary and dining services operations.
The Lead Dietitian plays a vital role in our emergency management plan and will assist with planning initiatives as needed.  The Lead Dietitian acts as a resource for ALL residents and will help promote Well inspired nutritional education across campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership to Dietitian, Dietary Aides and Culinary Services Attendants.
  2. Lead daily staff meetings with clinical staff to provide necessary training
  3. Maintain balanced departmental budget.
  4. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on Residents considered being at risk for malnutrition, including but not limited to admission, quarterly, annual and significant change assessments.
  5. Review care plans based on Resident needs and revise as needed.
  6. Review electronic medical records for compliance, including UDAs and missing reports.
  7. Perform monthly sanitation inspections for all healthcare buildings.
  8. Supervise clinical operations to ensure Resident satisfaction.
  9. Conduct quarterly staff evaluations and as needed by manager.
  10. Provide nutritional counseling to Residents across the continuum of care.
  11. Participate in Well Inspired Education Series and events.
  12. Maintain updated policy & procedure manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
  13. Evaluate Residents enrolled in home health based on consultations.
  14. Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal and state.
  15. Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPPA policies and procedures.
  16. Follows facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
Required licensure: RD, LD/N
Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (Preferred)
A minimum of five years long-term care experience strongly preferred.
