Build great trailers. Build great teams.

On our Monday–Thursday second shift (10 hours), you’ll lead a salaried crew with a 2nd-shift differential. When production demands extend to Friday or Saturday, those additional hours are paid at straight time.

The mission

Deliver every unit safely, on schedule, and exactly to the Engineering drawings—whether you’re overseeing the Axle Department, Combo Start Line, or Sidewall line. You’ll turn ambiguity into action through planning, coaching, and relentless follow-up.

How you’ll deliver

  • Translate volume into weekly staffing; stage tools and materials; ensure a clean, organized area using 5S.
  • Align and evolve standard work with the ME department; conduct safety observations and close gaps.
  • Reduce defects, rework, and scrap through root-cause elimination and prevention.
  • Lead all core people processes: interviewing, training, work assignment, performance reviews, recognition, discipline, and grievance resolution.
  • Run weekly safety communications with your group and consistently enforce guidelines.
  • Participate in Review Meetings to reconcile Sales Orders and Bills of Material before release.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with other Supervisors and the Superintendent to keep the schedule intact.
  • Partner with Engineering on any build issues that could affect quality, safety, or product performance.
  • Escalate and collaborate with the Production Manager and ME/Maintenance Manager on tooling, quality, and safety while maintaining throughput.
  • Administer timekeeping: punches, approvals, vacations, and related transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What equips you for success

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Team Leader experience; Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
  • Recent performance at “Meets Expectations” or higher.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with basic database, spreadsheet, word-processing, and email software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of your area’s processes: production techniques, safety, inspection criteria, and plant initiatives.
  • Clear, effective leadership of individuals and teams.
  • Ability to read and act on blueprints and customer specifications.
  • Meets the physical requirements listed below; quick learner with strong retention.
  • Strong organization and task management; self-directed with initiative.
  • Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required (company-provided after hire).
