Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Lecturer II / Teaching Assistant Professor non-tenure track, 9-month positions with an anticipated start date of 01/01/2022. 

The position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate Social Work courses across all modalities (in-person and online) of our BSW and MSW programs during the Fall and Spring semesters. Additional teaching responsibilities include developing syllabi and course content, preparing course materials, holding regular office hours, and student professional advising. The teaching load for this position will be eight courses per year unless otherwise designated and 20% service obligations to the School and versed in the infusion of issues related to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of research, scholarship, teaching and advising.

Required Qualifications

Lecturer II - Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university and two years post MSW work experience

Teaching Assistant Professor – Terminal degree from an accredited university

  

Compensation Grade

Lecturer - Negotiable based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities to increase salary with overload, supplements and summer/wintermester teaching.
