This position involves providing front desk and customer service support (75%), including welcoming patrons, registering users, circulating materials, managing overdue items, and assisting with inquiries about physical and virtual resources. The role also includes processing interlibrary loans, shelving materials, maintaining displays, and ensuring the library's cleanliness and organization. Additionally, the incumbent maintains knowledge of library programs and other MWR services to recommend offerings to patrons, stocks marketing materials, and manages supplies.
Library program support (25%) involves assisting with program preparations, setup, cleanup, and outreach activities. The role also includes researching current trends and suggesting popular programs to leadership, ensuring smooth program execution and promoting library services within the community.
