A bit about us:

A midsized California law firm has an open position for experienced litigation paralegal to join their Los Angeles office. Our client has multiple office locations across California and specializes in defending businesses and individuals in complex general liability, professional liability, labor and employment, class actions and insurance defense claims. We are seeking candidates with recent insurance defense, labor and employment, wage and hour, class action, or PAGA experience. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact in compelling litigation matters while enjoying work life balance in a great firm culture.

The incoming paralegal will join a busy insurance defense and labor and employment practice group and provide litigation support to a collaborative team of partners, senior attorneys, and associates in ongoing and pending litigation and trial matters. Core job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and Bloomberg Law
  • Assisting with interrogatories and other discovery requests
  • Summarizing written discovery and document productions
  • Preparing complex medical chronologies
  • Updating and maintaining internal databases
  • Assisting in trial preparation
  • Drafting, preparing, and organizing a variety of legal documents, including motions, briefs, petitions, and discovery documents.

Job Details

A minimum of 3 years of recent civil litigation experience (defense strongly preferred) and an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate are required for consideration.
