Responsibilities:

NCI:  As the  Configuration Management IV (Logistician III), you will respond to trouble tickets to resolve user problems.  In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.  

This position will be located in Charleston, South Carolina.   Relocation assistance may be considered.  

 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for maintaining and accounting for  property and documentation
  • Conduct inventories
  • Assists customer in understanding product configuration; communicates and documents the change process and policies; conducts configuration planning; audits requirements and validates baselines
  • Develops control processes and policies and ensures control measures are capable of supporting deployment activities to meet business needs
  • Ensures version controls are in place for software integrity
  • Interacts directly with all elements of the team to include management
  • Tracks discrepancies and changes against baselines and manages the change control database
  • Trains personnel on the proper methodology to maintain a proactive CM program
  • Provides daily support and direction to staff as to change status requirements, deadlines and problems

 

 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree. Current Professional Logistics Certification – i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics or have equivalent related experience.
  • Must have (6) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Must have (4) years of experience in support of C4ISR systems.
  • Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Willing to travel less than 25% of the year
  • 7 – 12 Years of experience
