MachineAssembler for RWT Corp dba Schaefer Machine and Potdevin Machine
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Machine Assembler aligns, constructs and installs components of machinery, i.e. gears, motors, electrical wiring, by interpreting schematics and blueprints. Must be able to work well within a team-based environment and collaborate with employees from other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Decipher schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble sub-assemblies and components according to engineering specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools and sometimes machinery such as drills or grinders.
- Test finished products for defects and ensuring proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean workspace and repair or replace damaged tools.
- Follow company procedures and safety rules.
- Work independently with minimal supervision/guidance.
- Perform other job duties, as required and requested.
Skill Requirements and Qualifications:
- Trade School education or job experience in a similar role.
- Able to lift 40 lbs – 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Safety management mindset.
- Mechanical aptitude – understanding machinery and fit-up/assembly repair.
- Electro-mechanical experience helpful.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills in English both verbal and written.
- Forklift operator a plus but not needed. Will train.
