Job Title: Machine Operator

Schedule & Pay

  • Pay Rate: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday

  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support production operations in a fast-paced notebook manufacturing facility. The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial equipment to ensure efficient production cycles while maintaining high standards of product quality and workplace safety. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup and Operation
The Machine Operator will prepare and set up production equipment by calibrating machine settings, loading raw materials, and following purchase orders and technical specifications. The Machine Operator ensures machines are running efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining consistent product quality.

Monitoring and Quality Control
Continuously monitor equipment performance and production output to ensure products meet company specifications and quality standards. The Machine Operator will perform regular inspections, verify measurements, and identify any defects or inconsistencies in finished products.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime. The Machine Operator will also assist in identifying and resolving minor mechanical issues while reporting more complex problems to maintenance personnel.

Safety Compliance
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations while operating machinery and working on the production floor. The Machine Operator must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment to help prevent accidents and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

Requirements and Skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Ability to read and follow purchase orders, work instructions, and technical specifications

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment (training provided)

  • Familiarity with production machinery is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often for the duration of a full shift

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and production noise

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Basic math skills for measurements and production accuracy

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to read and write instructions and purchase orders clearly and accurately
