The Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of the maintenance department, including production lines, equipment, and facility grounds.
Responsibilities include scheduling work to meet production demands, maintaining preventative maintenance systems, and striving to exceed safety and uptime goals.
Control maintenance expenses by monitoring overtime and parts costs weekly.
Establish and manage mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure safety, environmental security, and maximize plant availability, product quality, and cost efficiency.
Additional duties involve ownership of PM/PdM activities, tracking equipment performance, prioritizing repairs and improvements, providing technical guidance to craftsmen, and supporting maintenance and capital projects.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a preferred bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, supervisory skills, and knowledge of safety rules, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
Must be computer literate, with desirable CAD/Drafting skills, and familiar with Preventative Maintenance programs, electrical and electronic principles.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
