Responsibilities:
  • Works under general supervision in maintaining the equipment and building in a safe and operational manner.
  • Repairs and replaces parts in equipment throughout the Hospital, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals, using various hand and power tools.
  • Trouble shoots and performs various tests on equipment in making operation assessments.
  • Provides supply, receiving, and distribution functions for Purchasing and Stores.
  • Uses independent judgment in performing job.
Qualifications:
  • Work requires the ability to read and write well enough to follow specific instructions as well as the ability to use independent judgment, which is normally acquired through completion of a high school education
  • Work requires a complete working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, as well as, carpentry skills which is normally acquired after 1-3 years related experience in the above areas
