Job Overview The Manager Clinical Research is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a functional team accountable for supporting clinical research programs and/or studies conducted by Principal Investigators (PIs) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Achieves functional objectives while developing individuals and teams and ensuring team effectiveness, including but not limited to, with process maintenance and definition of team norms. This position will have at least two (2) direct reports and 15-20 indirect reports. At the CCBDB, discoveries from our laboratories are changing the way care is delivered in the fields of pediatric hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation. Our researchers are at the forefront of both basic and clinical science, driving innovations that directly impact patient tr As the Manager for this esteemed program, you will lead our Children's Oncology Group (COG), Neuro-Oncology and Regulatory teams. The COG is a research program within the CCBD (Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders). The COG is a cooperative group made up of more than 220 institutions, specializing in pediatric clinical research inclusive of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer. COG trials include front-line treatment for many types of childhood cancers, studies aimed at determining the underlying biology of these diseases, and trials involving new and emerging treatments, supportive care, and survivorship. Our Neuro-Oncology program is one of the largest programs in the nation. We treat patients from birth into young adulthood. In addition to caring for children who have tumors with proven treatment protocols, our pediatric neuro-oncologists are leaders in using research to help identify potential new neuro-oncology therapies This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational and administrative facets of these trials.
