You’ll play a critical role in helping customers solve complex manufacturing challenges from design through installation and training.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manufacturing Design Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software; ability to interpret 2D drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication or metal processing; welding experience is a plus
- Design fixturing systems in 3D CAD based on customer requirements and simulate solutions using Visual Components
- Collaborate with customers via virtual and in-person meetings to present and refine design solutions
- Provide onsite installation, calibration, and post-sale training and support (travel approx. 20–25% of the time)
- Assist in quoting and collaborate with internal engineering teams on custom-designed solutions
- Represent the company professionally with strong communication and customer service skills
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, vision, life and disability insurance (with 85% of premiums covered), a fully funded HSA account, two retirement plans (401k with 5% match and a profit-sharing plan), 11 holidays, generous PTO (136 hours in the first five years, increasing after), a two-week sabbatical after 10 years, $400/month daycare stipend, clothing allowance, and a gym membership stipend.
