Job Description: Wastequip is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge engineering design and manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving product manufacturability, maintaining accurate engineering data, and supporting efficient production. The engineer will work closely with production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, drive process improvements, and support the introduction of new and revised products.

Salary Range: $89,316.05 - $96,503 (based on experience)

Responsibilities: Create and maintain engineering drawings, items, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SolidWorks and the ERP system. Implement and document engineering changes, ensuring manufacturing documentation and internal systems are updated accordingly. Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing or assembly issues and working directly with production personnel to resolve problems. Develop burnout programs and support manufacturing operations. Lead engineering projects and support a variety of engineering and manufacturing requests in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications / Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Minimum 3 years of experience using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Experience with FEA or stress analysis preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, or mechanical assembly. Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Comfortable working directly with production personnel in a manufacturing environment. Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative, lead efforts when needed, and work effectively as part of a team.
