  • Launch new jobs: set up the trailer/office, post all required permits, labor notices, safety rules, and EEOC postings; arrange sanitation and hydration.
  • Maintain the master and look-ahead schedules, sequencing work and inspections for uninterrupted progress.
  • Place material orders, manage deliveries, and verify installed work matches plans/specs.
  • Drive safety culture: conduct meetings, correct hazards immediately, and ensure policy compliance.
  • Own submittal logs; track A/E approvals and communicate potential schedule impacts.
  • Support change management with organized pricing back-up and documentation.
  • Administer closeout requirements and compile contractually required documents.
  • Issue current drawings/specs/general conditions (including accepted alternates and addenda) to subs and suppliers.
  • Schedule and run construction meetings; take accurate minutes and distribute quickly.
  • Attend owner/architect pre-bid, project, and closeout meetings.
  • Pre-bid: solicit proposals from qualified subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Produce professional correspondence: schedules of values, project schedules, RFIs, transmittals, submittals, and memos.
  • Submit permit applications; monitor reviews; coordinate fee processing with Accounting.
  • Use scheduling and document control systems to manage quality, schedule, budget, and safety performance throughout construction.
  • Monitor and report trade partner quality and productivity; issue timely updates on changes.
  • Inform management on productivity, costs, QC, document control, and pay apps; escalate risks to quality, budget, progress, or safety.
  • Create and execute the final punch list to deliver a complete, compliant project.
