Manufacturing Shift Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Manager to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment. This role is essential for driving team performance and enhancing customer satisfaction. This is a day shift opening.

Duties

• Direct manufacturing teams throughout the shift through communication and overseeing of processes
• Develop plans of actions for quality assurance, production and reduction of waste
• Ensuring that waste and low quality product is kept below annual budget levels for the shift assigned
• Will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing team meets or exceeds daily, weekly and monthly production goals
• Ensure machinery is properly maintained
• Oversee preventative maintenance plans to include maintaining a schedule of preventative maintenance and overhauling of machinery when required
• Oversee safety for the shift to include accident investigations, implementing safety policy changes for the shift and ensure that hazards are properly identified
• Assist in the production planning and scheduling process
• Train and develop staff with a goal of internal growth and promotional opportunities

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior manufacturing leadership is required
• Must be able to operate machinery with computer processors and controls
• Position does require work in a non-climate controlled environment and may require flexibility in scheduling
