Title: Masters Level Therapist
Location: Remote within the Metropolitan Region
Description:
The role involves providing trauma-informed individual and group counseling services to individuals affected by intimate partner violence (IPV), including survivors, children exposed to IPV, and those responsible for harm. The Therapist will empower survivors to regain confidence, enhance safety for themselves and their families, and begin their healing journey. This role also includes supporting accountability and positive behavioral change in individuals responsible for harm. Reporting to a Program Supervisor, the Therapist will work collaboratively within a team to meet the needs of clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct joint home visits with team case planners for assigned cases.
Perform comprehensive assessments using established tools and develop tailored service plans.
Deliver trauma-informed, client-focused short- and long-term counseling for survivors and their children.
Facilitate trauma-informed psychoeducational groups for mothers and evidence-based groups for children.
Lead accountability groups designed for individuals responsible for harm within relationships.
Provide individual educational therapy aligned with group accountability programs.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation for internal and external reviews.
Collaborate with case planners to ensure services meet client needs and prioritize safety.
Participate in supervision, team meetings, professional development activities, and client conferences.
Manage a range of administrative and program support functions.
Required Skills:
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related field; licensure or eligibility preferred.
At least 1-2 years of experience providing trauma-informed services to families impacted by IPV.
Familiarity with intervention programming for individuals causing harm.
Strong background in child development, trauma-informed practices, family systems, and relational frameworks.
Knowledge of regional IPV support systems, child welfare, legal, and housing resources.
Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with flexibility in work hours including evenings and weekends.
Desired Skills:
Experience with child welfare systems and family engagement approaches.
Training in evidence-based practices for trauma and IPV interventions.
