The position is for a General Laborer/Material Handler in Chesapeake, VA, working onsite from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on a 3-month contract.
The role involves performing various tasks related to incoming and outgoing equipment, parts, and materials, with a focus on logistics and asset management for military and government standards.
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and handling heavy items using manual labor or equipment like forklifts and dollies.
- Lift up to 35 lbs and follow all safety procedures.
- Participate in receiving, processing, organizing, and shipping stock.
- Unload trucks, check in merchandise, prepare orders, and stage parcels for shipment or storage.
- Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating good communication skills.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to learn and adhere to client and government requirements. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient warehouse operations.
