Material Handling Technician - TVTC

Shifts- 6 to 6 (Rotating)

I have attached the schedule for shift structure to give you an idea of the rotation.

2 departments: Film and Chemical.

Film:

Summary of job description-

• Verify necessary supplies are available for your shift
• Order supplies as needed
• Inspect materials for packaging
• Package material per customer specification on racks or in boxes, this includes banding and angle boards.
• Print labels for materials to be packaged
• Move material with PIV to appropriate locations throughout facility
• Must be computer proficient to operate multiple systems and databases:

• • To retrieve information such as standard operating procedures, customer specs, packing standards, training verification and assessments
  • For inventory accuracy, such as locating materials and packing supply adjustments

• Electronically locate material using handheld scanner or PC
• Input shift notes throughout shift

• Perform location audit to verify supplies and materials are located properly

• Operate various PIVs; primarily stand-up fork lift and tugger/tow motor
• Operate hoists and other overhead cranes used for material movement
• Maintain area cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned

Chemical Department:

• Order supplies as needed
• Inspect materials for packaging
• Package material per customer specification on racks or in boxes, this includes banding and angle boards.
• Move material with PIV to appropriate locations throughout facility
• Package material per customer specification per standard operating procedures, customer specs

• Operate various PIVs; stand-up fork lift and sit-down fork lift
• Operate hoists and other overhead cranes used for material movement
• Maintain area cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned

TVTC conducts the training for some of the items for this location.
