A leading precision grinding facility is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Metal Machining Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating machinery with hands-on experience using calipers for precise measurements and operating overhead cranes. Metal Machining Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate and grind machines to smooth metal, including large industrial parts of various sizes.
• Ensure the accuracy of machining processes by effectively using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.), including both standard and digital versions.
• Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints to meet production specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Familiarity with using pallet jacks to move materials around the work area is a plus.
• Comfortable with overhead crane operation as part of the workflow.

Metal Machining Operator Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience, with a focus on hand grinding and mechanical skills, is required.
• Must have experience with micrometers, calipers (both standard and digital)
• Previous experience interpreting blueprints is highly preffered.  
• Must have previous use of overhead cranes.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and wear steel-toed boots during shift.
