Metal Machining (2nd Shift)
$22.00 per hour
Mon-Fri / 3:30pm - 12:00am
A leading precision grinding facility is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Metal Machining Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating machinery with hands-on experience using calipers for precise measurements and operating overhead cranes. Metal Machining Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate and grind machines to smooth metal, including large industrial parts of various sizes.
- Ensure the accuracy of machining processes by effectively using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.), including both standard and digital versions.
- Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints to meet production specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks to move materials around the work area is a plus.
- Comfortable with overhead crane operation as part of the workflow.
Metal Machining Operator Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience, with a focus on hand grinding and mechanical skills, is required.
- Must have experience with micrometers, calipers (both standard and digital)
- Previous experience interpreting blueprints is highly preffered.
- Must have previous use of overhead cranes.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must pass drug screening and background checks.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and wear steel-toed boots during shift.
