Seeking a Metrology Engineer for 2nd shift in the military combat vehicles industry, based on-site in York, PA. The role offers $46.80/hour with a 6-month contract leading to potential permanent employment.
Responsibilities include conducting inspections and generating dimensional reports using laser trackers, Faro arms, and high-volume scanners.
Tasks involve inspecting new designs, performing design change inspections, and interfacing with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Requires experience with PolyWorks, Faro Arm, Laser Tracker, Portable CMM, CREO, SolidWorks, and GD&T. Knowledge of military and commercial design standards, mechanical design, and assembly processes is essential.
Ideal candidates will have technical expertise in measurement equipment and software, with strong communication skills for data retrieval and reporting.
