National Sales Director - Retail Sales

Responsible for growing the placement of coffee, tea, and other beverage products in current partner retailers and growth opportunity customers across multiple channels, effectively selling the full portfolio of Red Diamond products. Additionally, assists in expanding the Red Diamond footprint by developing the network of bottling/brewing facilities. Coordinates the development of sales objectives, strategies, advertising, and promotional programs, ensuring their execution. Collaborates with division leadership to develop overall product strategies, identify new product needs, and support the coordination of manufacturing opportunities for new and emerging products. Reviews market research to anticipate consumer and competitive trends, translating consumer insights into new branding opportunities. This role also involves shaping future brand innovations and programs to drive incremental sales.
Essential job functions:
- Primary focus on new customer development and establishing new manufacturing channels and partnerships.
- Builds strategic programs to increase revenue within Red Diamond's retail division, regularly reporting results and insights internally and to key customer management.
- Supports R&D initiatives by fostering strong relationships with customers to facilitate growth, product, packaging, and merchandising innovations based on market insights.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; minimum 7 years of experience with a national branded consumer packaged goods company.
- Experience in CPG, National Account Sales within a market-leading company in mass and/or grocery channels. Experience in food and beverage categories is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to develop a portfolio of brands and establish lasting customer relationships at all levels.
- Experience in brand management and market development, with strong strategic, analytical, communication, and presentation skills to align customer and company goals.
- Ability to collaborate across departments (Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance) to develop go-to-market strategies, new product initiatives, and customer-specific plans, leveraging individual customer goals for mutual success.
- Skills in integrating industry trends, consumer insights, competitive landscape, and brand strategies into compelling sales presentations that secure business agreements.
