The Network Engineer I (IT Infrastructure) supports the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure in a hybrid Rancho Dominguez, CA setting.
They work independently and assist senior engineers with managing and troubleshooting network hardware, software, and connectivity to ensure optimal performance and security.
Key responsibilities include monitoring LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, VPN, configuring equipment, supporting hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, and participating in network architecture design.
Additional duties involve maintaining network documentation, managing DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall policies, and collaborating with helpdesk and cybersecurity teams to address issues and enforce security standards, including DISA STIG compliance.
The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of experience, knowledge of networking fundamentals, troubleshooting tools, and enterprise hardware. Certifications like Network+ or CCNA are encouraged.
Must be able to work after-hours and participate in on-call rotations to support network stability.
