Description

Primary Duties / Responsibilities -
Operational support for campus, remote office, data center, and cloud environments.
Implement and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN network infrastructure.
Partner with key network suppliers to develop and maintain services.
Provide thought leadership relating to future network design and development.
Cultivate new and current vendor relationships.
Conduct technical training for internal resources.
Act as a consultant on current and new technologies, including but not limited to network overlays, automation, assurance, security, intent-based networking, hybrid data center design, SD-WAN.
Collect and evaluate new business requirements and translate into technical design.
Identify capacity and performance issues to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of networking infrastructure.
Create and maintain network documentation and reports as required.
Participate and represent the team in change and incident management meetings.
Communicate with internal customers and be able to present solutions in a non-technical manner.

Education & Skill Requirements -
Excellent network troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent network documentation skills (Visio, process documentation, project planning).
Ability to collect business requirements and work with suppliers and team members to build and implement.

Minimum 5 to 7 Years of relevant WAN/LAN/WLAN experience.
Experience with networking Command-Line Interface (CLI).
Configuring/Troubleshooting Routing protocols – EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DMVPN.
Configuring/Troubleshooting LAN Switching – VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, CoS
Configuring/Troubleshooting Quality of service configuration
Configuring/Troubleshooting TCP/IP protocol suite, DNS, DHCP, Load balancing
Limited Configuring/Troubleshooting Application protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL etc.
Configuring/Troubleshooting Network Security - IPsec VPN, NGFW, zone-based firewalls
Troubleshooting and resolving loop issues at layer 2 and 3.
Strong troubleshooting and implementation skills with network services (DNS, DHCP, Load balancing, NGFW, monitoring, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications -
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study.
Advanced understanding of 802.11 technologies, IP protocols, and wireless troubleshooting
Experience with RF design for enterprise
Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers
Experience with QoS design for video and voice (Teams, Zoom, RingCentral)
Industry standard network certifications highly desired (CCNP, CWSP, AWS Advanced Networking, JNCIS, etc.).

Configuring/Troubleshooting experience with large scale WAN and remote office deployments.
Configuring/Troubleshooting experience with Cisco technologies (Prime, DNA Center, ACI, WLC, FMC, Viptela).
Strong understanding of automation and orchestration tools (Python, Ansible, vendor APIs etc.).
Strong ability to analyze and interpret output of networking support utilities and tools.
Strong understanding of data center and hybrid data center operations.
Experience with industry standard project management and change management processes.
