Job Description

The Network Engineer IV – Fortinet / FortiSASE is a senior level technical engineer and Fortinet subject matter expert responsible for 24×7 operational support, escalation, and lifecycle management of enterprise FortiGate Secure SD WAN and FortiSASE solutions within Managed Services (MS) and Network as a Service (NaaS) environments. This role serves as a Tier 3 escalation engineer, supporting complex hybrid, cloud, and globally distributed customer networks while maintaining strong multi vendor networking fundamentals to support adjacent SASE and SD WAN platforms as needed. The engineer plays a direct role in service reliability, incident resolution, and customer satisfaction, collaborating closely with Managed Services Security, Network Operations, Engineering, Presales Architecture, Product, and Service Management teams, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to operational maturity and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3, 24×7 operational support for Fortinet Secure SD WAN and FortiSASE, including ZTNA, SWG, FWaaS, VPN, and firewall policy enforcement

• Lead high severity incident response, customer communications, and root cause analysis (RCA)

• Own the full service lifecycle, including onboarding, change management, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning

• Design, validate, and enforce secure, resilient Fortinet SASE architectures with proper routing, segmentation, and high availability

• Support advanced routing and SD WAN implementations (BGP required, OSPF)

• Enable and troubleshoot hybrid and cloud connectivity across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

• Support Zero Trust networking and identity integrations (SAML, MFA, remote/mobile access)

• Drive automation, observability, documentation, and operational standardization

• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers and collaborate cross functionally to evolve the Fortinet SASE managed services offering

Skills and Requirements

- 8+ years of network engineering experience – design and implementation

- Hands on experience with Fortinet – Fortigate SDWAN, FortiSASE

- Strong experience in FortiManager

- Advanced WAN and routing expertise – BGP & OSPF protocols

- Fortinet NSE 5 certification or higher (SASE track preferred) - Fortinet FCP-SASE

- Cisco certifications (CCNP or CCIE) highly recommended

- Palo Alto Prisma experience
