Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology Specialty Unit - PM

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in the Hematology/Oncology Specialty Unit is open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. This full-time role involves 14-16 PM shifts monthly, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing acutely ill hematology patients, performing procedures, and coordinating care from admission to discharge. Candidates should have prior Hematology/Oncology experience and knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Nursing or accredited PA program
• Current APN or PA certification in Alabama
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be needed

• Skills include strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
