Job Title: Operations Co-Op
Location:Tonganoxie, KS
Duration: 12 months from start date
Hours: 1 person per shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
1st- 7am to 3:30pm
2nd- 3pm to 11:30pm
3rd- 11pm to 7:30am


Minimum Education:
  • High School Diploma.
Dress code:
  • Long sleeves t-shirt (no buttons), long pants, safety-toed shoes
  • No jewelry
  • Makeup CAN be work however false eyelashes, acrylic fingernails or nail polish may not be worn in the factory area
Overview:
  • The primary responsibilities of the Operations Intern include ensuring safety and environmental compliance, adhering to quality procedures, data collection, problem-solving, and continuous improvement as part of a work team. The role involves considerable interaction with other production units and support functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Be accountable for all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning standards and guidelines.
  • Become familiar with procedures for all equipment within the work area, including normal operations, quality inspections, safety procedures and safeguards, and lock out tag out (LOTO).
  • Utilize SAP and other systems to help improve operations and properly document production.
  • Stay informed of the team's production performance via visual, written, and verbal communications.
  • Participate in regular reviews of team production performance and events.
  • Seek and apply Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to achieve team goals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship needs.
  • Ability to work part-time hours as needed, accommodating academic schedules.
  • Proficiency with computers, software, and data processing.
  • Demonstrate positivity, integrity, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DOMO (Data Management).
  • GMP and/or consumer goods manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience (1 year or more) in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated competency in problem-solving, decision-making, effective communication, and results-oriented tasks.
